Gazcon A/S – Company of the month - September 2009
It is full speed ahead for Danish company Gazcon A/S.
Gazcon A/S is introducing an enlarged standard product range meeting the growing need for on-site nitrogen and oxygen generators. Special design and large-scale orders to, amongst others, the marine industry, allow for upgrading production facilities and upsizing production team.
At Gazcon, a positive outlook and great expectations of the future rule. Already in 2008, the company chose to ‘ignore the crisis’ and were more than ready to take on new challenges!
In December 2008 new and larger facilities were taken into use and the production area of a total of 1800 m2 is today made use of to the last inch.
A newly launched, enlarged standard Nitrogen range offers up to 1100 Nm3/h and in various purities. Control units and monitoring options have been upgraded as well, and high quality touch screen control solutions are now available. The generators are offered as skid-mounted solutions, fully containerised, trailer mounted or as complete stationary plants depending on the client’s type of application and requirements.
”Producing your own nitrogen is easier and cheaper; facts, which can give you a competitive advantage” Managing Director Bjarne Fog explains. “Other inert gases than nitrogen are costlier alternatives. An on-site generator from Gazcon gives you 24-hour access to nitrogen – with a low-cost, environmentally friendly solution.
For our customers this solution simply means freedom, and freedom for them also means peace of mind”, Mr. Fog says and continues: “ Freedom is key to us at Gazcon and we focus on on-site generators for the same reason. Our systems allow gas production at the flip of a switch, independently from gas supplies and cylinder handling. Our in-house expertise, vast experience and dedication to freedom create a solid foundation for our design and production”.
The Gazcon on-site Nitrogen generators are based on the PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) technology and can be specially designed for the oil and gas industry. The generators can be used in pressure testing of piping and processing equipment, oil well applications and offshore and sea carriers, to mention some.
Safety is a top priority in the oil and gas industry. The inert properties of Nitrogen makes it widely used in the oil and gas industry. Nitrogen ensures safety during e.g. tank cleaning operations and other situations, where an inert atmosphere is needed.
